"Garett C. has been putting his artistic skills to good use creating assistive devices for Students at LHS. Utilizing Rhino in Digital Art, he has been designing and 3D printing everything from Braille boards, to personalized joysticks for motorized chairs. Garett has been so enthusiastic about creating these assistive devices that he has downloaded and learned different cad softwares as well as purchased his own 3D printer to be able to work at home." - Austin Javurek, LHS Teacher
"Garett has been a tremendous asset to our classroom this year. He brightens each of the student's day and they really look forward to him coming to our class or going to the gym with them. He has gone above and beyond for each of them in their own special ways. Garett has made a special gear shift for one student’s chair, an adaptation to another student’s cane to help with mobility around the school, a stencil for a student to work on his name is working on finishing up a braille board for a student to help learn letters and words have better access to her surroundings, and has daily weather discussions with another. Recently he let us know that he was looking to change his major in school and become an Intervention Specialist, which is a great idea and all of the students that get a chance to work with him will enjoy a great experience and have fun along the way." - Todd Golownia, LHS Teacher
