
Lexington High School sent 15 students to the 2026 Youth and Government Conference in Columbus, where students from across the state formed a mock government by drafting and debating legislation. All seven of Lexington’s bills passed, including two unanimously. Katya P. was elected Speaker of the House. Ellie H., Jesse H., and Emma B. served as Committee Chairs, with Ellie and Emma also serving as House Clerks; Ellie was Delegation Leader. Jesse H. earned the Service Award and Most Outstanding Representative, and Jenna H. was named Winning Lobbyist.
