Glow Day Review
Dr. Berry’s sixth-grade class had a Glow Day review for their upcoming test! Students rotated through stations focused on dividing fractions, GCF, LCM, coordinate planes, division, and decimal operations. This review truly brightened their day!
Monster Match Project
Mrs. Duffey's fourth-grade classes at Eastern joined other fourth-graders across Ohio for a fun Monster Match project! Working in small groups, students drew creatures and wrote detailed directions using prepositions and vivid language for others to recreate their "monsters." They met on Zoom to share their creations and reflect on their teamwork and communication skills. Great job, fourth graders!
Malabar Farm Trip
Lexington sixth graders enjoyed an exciting field day at Malabar Farm! They had a fantastic time exploring, learning, and making memories together.
Mrs. Duffey's Shopping Bags Exploration
Mrs. Duffey's students have been working on answering questions through thinking, reasoning, and putting pieces together. Today Mrs. Duffey's 4th grade ELA classes explored "shopping bags" with items in them. The students were given a bag with the names of 3 items on cards to look through to make inferences about the shopper bases on the bags contents.

Soap Bubble Experiment
Mrs. Sutherland's 5th-grade science class tested the Scientific Method by exploring the question: "Which soap makes the biggest bubble?" Students formed hypotheses, conducted experiments, and wrote conclusions to see if their predictions were correct. Great job, young scientists!
Eastern's New DOJO Store

Students can earn positive DOJO points by following our PBIS Matrix of being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. We’re thrilled to share that Mrs. Lantz’s husband, who served aboard the USS Kennedy in the US Navy, had a shipmate donate a gift card in her honor, helping kickstart our Dojo store!
State of Ohio History

Mr. Grist Distinguished Educator for Art Education
Mr. Grist won North Central's nomination for the Distinguished Educator for Art Education. North Central consists of the following counties: Ottawa, Sandusky, Erie, Seneca, Huron, Wyandot, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, Marion, Morrow and Knox. Congratulations, Mr. Grist!
Eastern Authors and Programmers
Mrs. Hooper's 4th Grade class has a twist on STEM and stories! With Thanksgiving coming up, the students are learning about coding, and creating a story to help a turkey escape becoming Thanksgiving dinner. The students are creating a setting, learning how to code the turkey (our BeeBot's) to escape on their scene, and then writing a story with their coding embedded so our turkeys can escape. Authors and programmers hard at work!

Dr. Berry's sixth-grade classes at Eastern are real glow-getters! They illuminated their test review through Glow Games. Students worked at stations reviewing division, fractions, decimals, GCF, LCM, and distributive property. Keep shining, Minutemen!
Eastern Run Club
The Eastern Run Club had a great race day this week! The future of the Lexington CC/T&F Legacy is bright! This season our motto was "See what happens when you don't give up!" These runners set goals, pushed themselves during workouts, had fun with games, and learned that they can accomplish great things when they don't give up! Keep running, Minutemen!
National Custodial Workers Recognition Day
Happy National Custodial Workers Recognition Day to our very own, Mr. Brian. Mrs. Verspoor's class is extremely grateful for all the kindness, support and time he spends with them. Mr. Brian takes the students daily to work on jobs such as delivering mail, assisting in the cafeteria, and sweeping the halls. He has made meaningful and positive relationships with each of the students, and we are so thankful!
Fourth Grade Tallest Tower Project
