The Lexington Board of Education held a Special Meeting in the Robert H. Whitney Board of Education Meeting Room on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.
Roll Call – Members present: Mr. Dave Roberts, Dr. Martin Gottschling, Mr. Keith Stoner, Mr. Robert Whitney ---- 4 Absent: Mr. Rob Schuster ---- 1
Mr. Whitney welcomed visitors to the meeting and asked if any visitors would like to be recognized.
PERSONNEL ITEMS
33-21 Motion by Mr. Stoner, seconded by Mr. Roberts to approve the following personnel items:
Certified:
Resignation: Accepted the following resignations, effective at the end of the 2020 – 2021 school year:
Kayla Heimann - Eastern, 5th grade
Michelle Lazar - Eastern, Intervention Specialist Ashton Cannon - Eastern, 6th grade
Paul Gladden - High School, Intervention Specialist for the 2021 – 2022 school year
Resolution: Approved a Resolution regarding the elimination of an Assistant Technology Director position and a reduction in force due to the reorganization of District’s administrative staff.
Employment: Approved the employment of the following: Ashley Rebillot - High School Assistant Principal, two-year contract, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, effective August 1, 2021
Matthew Millinger - Elementary principal, two-year contract, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, effective August 1, 2021
Kara Wysong - Western, 3rd grade, effective August 13, 2021, oneyear contract, step 10, pending successful completion of employment requirements
Reanna Sutherland - Eastern, 5th grade, effective August 13, 2021, oneyear contract, step 0
Lydia Smith - Eastern, Intervention Specialist, August 13, 2021, one-year contract, step 0
Sally Giefer - Instruct ACT boot camp (June 9 & 10, July 14 & 15), ($600 per session/$1,200 total)
Allison DeGreen - Instruct ACT boot camp ($300 per session/$600 total)
Ryan Bastian - Instruct ACT boot camp ($300 per session/$600\ total)

Employment: Approved the employment of Karie Whitaker a Western, pre-school aide, effective August 16, 2021, one-year contract.
Other Business:
Transportation Summer Help: Approved Malcolm Young for summer help in the Transportation Department from approximately June 1 – July 23, 2021.

It is hereby certified that the Lexington Local School District Board of Education, Richland County, Ohio, has sufficient funds to meet the contract agreement, obligation, payment or expenditure for the above, and has in effect for the remainder of the fiscal year and succeeding fiscal year the authorization to levy taxes which, when combined with the estimated revenue from all other sources available to the district at the time of certification, are sufficient to provide operating revenues necessary to enable the district to operate an adequate educational program on all days set forth in its adopted school calendar for the current fiscal year and for a number of days in the succeeding fiscal year equal to the number of day’s instruction was or is scheduled for the current fiscal year.
