The Lexington Board of Education met in regular session in the boardroom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.

VISITORS / COMMUNICATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
Mr. Whitney welcomed visitors and asked if any visitors would like to be recognized.
Mr. Ziegelhofer and the Board recognized educational aide Robin Porte and music teacher, Jean Worley for their many
years of dedicated service to the students of Lexington and congratulated them as each will be retiring at the end of the school year.
Student Representative, Cameron Kindred, provided an update regarding District activities, including band, choir,
orchestra concerts, student Isaac Calloway and staff member Diane Arnold honored at the SST7 (State Support Team), High School
Academic Awards Night held on May 17th, and went well, Special Olympics hosted by the District on May 7th, prom and
after prom took place on May 7th, conclusion of Spring sports, track athletes competing in Districts, baseball team competed
in Districts on Thursday and won, the High School Principal's recognition Breakfast and 3.5 Breakfast were each well-attended,
students have taken AP exams, conclusion of State testing, final exams for underclassmen take place from May 24-27th,
amd the last day of school is May 27th, the talent show took place May 4th, Senior exams are the 7th-23rd, final day
for seniors is the 24th and Graduation will take place on May 29th.
FINANCIAL ITEMS
25-16 Motion by Mrs. Weirich, seconded by Mr. Heck to approve the following financial items:
1. The minutes from the April regular meeting were approved.
2. The monthly financial report for April 2016 was presented.
3. Accepted the donation from the Lexington Music Boosters of $1,300 for microphones and music items for the High School Musical performance.
4. Approved the following appropriation modifications for RY16:

5. Approved the 5-Year Financial Forecast for FY16 through FY20.

It is hereby certified that the Lexington Local School District Board of Education, Richland County, Ohio, has sufficient funds to meet the contract agreement, obligation, payment or expenditure for the above, and has in effect for the remainder of the fiscal year and succeeding fiscal year the authorization to levy taxes which, when combined with the estimated revenue from all other sources available to the district at the time of certification, are sufficient to provide operating revenues necessary to enable the district to operate an adequate educational program on all days set forth in its adopted school calendar for the current fiscal year and for a number of days in the succeeding fiscal year equal to the number of days instruction was or is scheduled for the current fiscal year.
