The Lexington Board of Education met in regular session in the boardroom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2015.
Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.

Mr. Whitney welcomed visitor Bill Pepple to the meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
42-15 Motion by Mr. Heck, seconded by Mrs. Weirich to enter into executive session for the employment or compensation of a public employee and negotiations. Attorney Bill Pepple was invited and joined the Board, the Superintendent and Treasurer in executive session.

Discussion Items:
1. Mr. Whitney discussed the time and equipment donated by Walker Brothers to work on the drainage along the driveway at Central Elementary. Mr. Ziegelhofer noted that a thank you letter will be sent fo rthis donation.
2. Mr. Whitney asked about various safety drills conducted throughout the District. Mr. Ziegelhofer noted that safety drills are conducted at each of the District buidlings and such drills are conducted more often than State requirements.
3. The Board discussed the drain located at the baseball field. Mr. Ziegelhofer noted tha tthe Village has been contacted and could potentially use their large leaf equipment to work on the drain. Mr. Ziegelhofer also indicated the potential of adding a cement area to store dirt to avoid runoff of the dirt during includment weather.

It is hereby certified that the Lexington Local School District Board of Education, Richland County, Ohio, has sufficient funds to meet the contract agreement, obligation, payment or expenditure for the above, and has in effect for the remainder of the fiscal year and succeeding fiscal year the authorization to levy taxes which, when combined with the estimated revenue from all other sources available to the district at the time of certification, are sufficient to provide operating revenues necessary to enable the district to operate an adequate educational program on all days set forth in its adopted school calendar for the current fiscal year and for a number of days in the succeeding fiscal year equal to the number of days instruction was or is scheduled for the current fiscal year.
