The Lexington Board of Education met in regular session in the boardroom at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2015. Mr. Robert Whitney,
President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.

VISITORS / COMMUNICATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
Mr. Whitney welcomed visitors to the meeting and asked if any visitors would like to be recognized.
No report from the High School Representative, Joel Nirmalnath. He will report at the February Board meeting.
FINANCIAL ITEMS
07-15 Motion by Mr. Heck, seconded by Mr. Stoner to approve the following financial items:
1. The minutes from the December 2014 regular meeting were approved.
2. The monthly financial report for December 2014 was presented.
3. Approved fiscal year 2016 Tax Budget.
4. Approved payment of $4, 575 to Lexington Tree Service for removal of trees at Western Elementary.

PERSONNEL
08-15 Motion by Mrs. Weirich, seconded by Mr. Blackstone, to approve the following personnel items:
Certified:
Retirement: Approved the retirement of the following personnel:
Bill Ellsworth - Elementary Guidance Counselor, effective at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 school year
Paul Dawson - Teacher/Choir Director, effective May 29, 2015
Richard Dunn - High School English Teacher - effective July 1, 2015
Mrs. Weirich suggested inviting retirees to a Board meeting and they will be invited to the May meeting.
Classified:
Employment: Approved the employment of Tina Parr as ESL tutor, retroactive to January 5, 2015.
Other Business:
Tuition Student: Approve to waive the tuition for Karen Lively for the remainder of her senior year per Board policy due to Karen's family moving out of the district.
Coaching Resignation: Accepted the resignation of Emily Doles as Winter Guard advisor for the 2014-2015 school year.
Coaching Recommendation: Accepted the following coaching recommendations:
Emily Doles - Winter Guard co-Advisor (70% of supplemental)
Michelle Rastetter - Winter Guard co-Advisor (30% of supplemental)
Substitute Lists: Approved the revised Lexington substitute list & the complete substitute list dated 01/02/2015 as presented by MOESC.
School Calendar: Approved the school calendar for 2015-2016.
