LEXINGTON BOARD OF EDUCATION

Special Meeting

February 26, 2014

7:00 P.M.   

The Lexington Board of Education met in Special session in the boardroom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.  

Roll Call – Members present: Mr. Loren Blackstone, Mr. Jeff Heck, Mr. Keith Stoner, Mrs. Sue Weirich, Mr. Robert Whitney -------------------5         

VISITORS / COMMUNICATIONS / RECOGNITIONS 

Mr. Secrist briefly explained about the Curriculum Guide for 2014-15. The High School is increasing AP classes from 4 – 7 and adding 4 dual enrollment courses that total 19 semester hours.

15-14   Motion by Mr. Heck, seconded by Mrs. Weirich to approve the 2014-15 High School Curriculum Guide.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

16-14   Motion by Mr. Stoner, seconded by Mr. Blackstone to enter into executive session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing and negotiations.

            Mr. Stoner briefly shared items from the Governor’s State of the State message that could impact schools.
