Agencies and community groups gathered with student-created games and student displays as students navigated through the Student Council-sponsored Mental Wellness Fair at Lexington high school. The Mental Wellness Fair was created to help students learn about Mental health issues, explore resources available in our community, and learn more about taking care of their own mental wellness, as it debunked the stigma of mental health issues.

Utilizing Rhino in Digital Art, he has been designing and 3D printing everything from Braille boards, to personalized joysticks for motorized chairs. Garett has been so enthusiastic about creating these assistive devices that he has downloaded and learned different cad softwares as well as purchased his own 3D printer to be able to work at home." - Austin Javurek, LHS Teacher

"Garett has been a tremendous asset to our classroom this year. He brightens each of the student's day and they really look forward to him coming to our class or going to the gym with them. He has gone above and beyond for each of them in their own special ways. Garett has made a special gear shift for one student’s chair, an adaptation to another student’s cane to help with mobility around the school, a stencil for a student to work on his name is working on finishing up a braille board for a student to help learn letters and words have better access to her surroundings, and has daily weather discussions with another. Lexington High School students participated in the Youth and Government program in Columbus, Ohio. The Lexington Delegation introduced legislation to the Youth Assembly on March 23rd and March 24th. Nearly 200 students from across the state debated important issues. Darcie R. was selected as the The Most Outstanding Chairperson and was also selected to represent Ohio at the Conference On National Affairs (CONA) this summer in North Carolina. Mrs. Conover took a group of nearly 40 students to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium earlier this week.  All of these students are 'dual enrolled' in Mrs. Conover's 'Life in the Sea' class at Lexington High School and Bowling Green State University.  This is one of many college level classes taught at Lexington High School via the college credit plus program.  Students can earn up to 36 college credit hours by enrolling in courses taught by our exceptional teaching staff.

High School students were given the opportunity to decorate ornaments provided by Student Council, Key Club and Leos Club. These creations were then used to decorate the Holiday Tree in the Roost Building, near the Greenhouse at Kingwood Center. The tree will be on display through the Month of December. Ten students from Mrs. Truax’s Advanced 10 English class met at Nickel and Bean to work on their first major literary analysis paper! They spent two-hours drinking coffee, sharing ideas and proofreading. It was the perfect blend of work and friendship!

Mr. Saris took 18 student leaders to the OCC Leadership Conference at Ashland HS on Wednesday to meet with other student leaders from the league. Former athlete Sean Robbins spoke to the students about the importance of leadership and being a positive person impacting others. Mr. Robbins excelled at Ashland University in track and was ranked fourth in the world for long jump. He also is known for breaking the record set by Jesse Owens and currently trains athletes and football officials in the BIG 10, PAC12 and the NFL. It was a great opportunity for our students!

Lexington High School is pleased to announce the 2022 Homecoming Top 10. These ladies were voted on by their senior class members to represent the Class of 2023. In an event that hasn't happened in recent history, there was a tie, so we actually have 11 ladies. Next, the entire student body will vote for the top 5 to give us our Homecoming Court.
