The Junior High CACY group helped distribute gifts for over 1000 children through the local Adopt-A-Child program.

High school Biology students had a great time making DNA molecular models. The students quickly learned how to construct a deoxyribose sugar, a phosphoric acid and a nitrogen base then simulating dehydration synthesis reactions formed a nucleotide (the subunit of DNA).

The Junior High 8th graders celebrated the first annual 8th grade Thanksgiving feast the day before Thanksgiving break prepared by the Lex Food Service Department and served by the Junior High teachers and support staff. Everyone had a great time!

Our Junior High students collected over 500 toys to be donated to children in our area.

Each year more than 1.5 million high school students take the SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) for National Scholar Recognition. This year Dan A., Olivia T., Sarah M., and Maskin S. were among the top 50,000 scorers of those 1.5 million students and earned the National recognition of being named 2020 National Merit Commended Scholars. What a tremendous academic achievement! Congratulations Dan, Olivia, Sarah and Maskin!
